About Schroeder Family Dental
Schroeder Family Dental has locations in Atlantic and Greenfield. Our offices provide comprehensive dental care to people of all ages using proven state of the art techniques and equipment in a comforting atmosphere. The doctors and staff look forward to the opportunity to serve you as a patient and meet you as a member of the community.
Dr. Schroeder obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2008. He joined the United States Army and completed 4 years on active duty where he completed the exodontia course with emphasis on 3rd molar extractions prior to coming to Atlantic.
His family includes his wife Becky and four children, Makenna, Keaton, Gage and Cody. Dr. Schroeder enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and hunting.
Dr. Schroeder has completed numerous continuing education courses to provide patients with the latest proven procedures.
Dr. Berens obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University College of Dentistry in 2012.
Dr. Berens is married to her husband Sean and moved to Atlantic in 2012. They are originally from Denison, IA. In their free time they enjoy spending time outdoors with family and skiing.

Dr. Kate Handtke D.D.S.
Dr. Handtke obtained her undergraduate degrees in cell & molecular biology and microbiology from Winona State University in southeastern Minnesota. She moved to Iowa to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics. She is an officer in the Army National Guard and drills at Camp Dodge, which brought her to the Des Moines area to practice dentistry.
In her free time she likes to spend time doing anything outside especially hiking and being by the water. Her favorite place is her cabin up north in Minnesota.
Dr. Handtke is happy to be serving the Greenfield/Adair county area. She enjoys all specialties of dentistry allowing her to provide comprehensive care to her patients.
